2C Ranch Staging Area

After months of work by Foundation volunteers, 2C Ranch Staging Area is ready for public use. It is clear that this will be a very popular destination - our volunteers are already seeing residents using our newest open space every day! This 109-acre site, purchased by the city in 2009, was in total disrepair with no amenities to attract visitors. Foundation volunteers have installed numerous improvements - such as split rail fencing, picnic tables, a watering trough, a hitching post, and a monument sign - transforming this underused site into one that is usable and accessible to all.

2C Ranch Staging Area is located in the city's northwest open space, at the end of Oso Road on the west side of Oso Creek. The Foundation has requested that the city consider repairing a path across the creek off Oso Road, known as an Arizona Crossing, to establish a better entrance to the site.
